With the objective to promote Social Business in Province no.4, Nepal, for the establishment of Yunus Social Business Centre at Novel Academy, Pokhara, MoU was signed between Novel Academy and Yunus Centre. On behalf of Yunus Centre, Chairman of YC, Prof. Muhammad Yunus signed the documents whereas on behalf of Novel Academy, Princial of the Academy Dr. Krishna Raj Bhandari signed the documents. The event took place in seminar hall of Novel Academy in presence of Patron-in-chief Ram Jeevan Yadav, chairman of Novel Academy, Mr. Biseshwor Acharya, Professor of the Academy Dr. Vikash Kc, other renowned business man of the city and media persons. The comminication was done via. skype between two contracting parties.
In the program, Chairman of the Academy, Bisbeshwor Acharya and Principal Dr. Krishna Raj Bhandari delivered the speech addressing the representatives of Yunus Centre, Prof. Muhammad Yunus and Amir Khasru, invitees and media persons. Dr. Krishna Raj Bhandari highlighted the achievements of microfinace and Social Business in decreasing poverty of Bangladesh and contribution of Prof. Muhammad Yunus in this regard. He also expressed his deep interest in working with Yunus Centre Dhaka to flourish social entrepreneurship in Novel Academy. Besides, Prof. Muhammad Yunus delivered the speech on behalf of Yunus Centre and wished for better work year for YSBC, Novel Academy and addressed the queries of media persons reagrding the social business and microfinance. Prof. Yunus delivered the inspiring words to guide the Novel team for the operation of YSBC. The event was closed by Chairperson of Novel Academy Mr. Bishbeshwor Acharya by delivering the vote of thanks for the YC team and guests of the program.
